This book has been designed as a self-contained, comprehensive classroom text. Each topic has been treated in systematic and logical manner. The scope and depth of coverage are strictly according to the prescribed syllabus of WBUT. A large number of carefully selected illustrative examples followed by graded exercises with possible answers form an integral part of the text. Last three years' questions of WBUT are included at the end of the book for the benefit of the students.
