Again, a lot of illustrations to keep readers hooked. Martin builds the history intricately, providing a well-drawn-out family tree, maps, and an unbiased method of storytelling. The prologue works in most ways, yet readers will constantly be on the lookout for Winds of Winter.Having said that, Fire and Blood is a treat for fans of George R R Martin, regardless of everything else. This somehow was most apt being released this year, given the last season of the show is out early next year. It makes for a great read and an even better prelude to the series.
