Full Marks Pattern Writing

The Gem series of Pattern Writing is based on the Marion Richardson script. The objective of the series is to enable a child to acquire the necessary motor control to write well. This is achieved by ordering the introduction of characters so that it

(i) moves from simple to complex and
(ii) increase the child's perception of the differences among similar-looking letters.
The vocabulary items used in the series have been carefully selected and graded so as to be appropriate to the linguistic repertoire of the developing child.
