New Elementary English Grammar and Composition For Class I is intended for children just
beginning to learn English. When we learn to speak or write a foreign language, we learn the
words of the language and also how to put them together to form sentences.
In English, there are eight parts of speech — Nouns, Verbs, Pronouns, Adjectives, Adverbs,
Prepositions, Conjunctions and Interjections, a knowledge of which will enable a child to form
correct sentences.
