Because of numerous changes in financial environment, regional banks have now reached the levels of universal bank. This all has necessitated revision in the present book not only in data and figure but also in its material. As such two chapters have been added, as per new syllabus of the Mumbai University from the year 2013-14. Banks do provide numerous services in loan and advances and fund based and non-fund based services which are essential for higher profitability and observance of BASEL-III norms, which have been made applicable by RBI from 1st April 2013. In the same way foreign direct investors institutional investors do play an important role in the Indian Economy which are also discussed here.
