Langers Le Desir Irresistible (Novel of French) by Cecilia Antony

Cecilia Antony is a living paradox: I do not know if she takes this as a compliment or not from a French writer, but it was obvious to me while reading her novel. The story of Flora William, a young woman born in the depths of India, penniless, who manages to climb the social ladder by her work and meetings, romantic and friendly, makes undoubtedly think of the new frontier of America in the times of Kennedy, or closer to us at “Yes we can” of Barack Obama. Yet this novel I preliminary Indian, she wrote on France, Europe and America with could we believe the affection of landless people in search of a new country where life would be easier, so it is more about the quest of a young woman born too early in a backward world, India the country if contrasts, where jostle the most archaic tradition and advanced technologies. No doubt William Flora will never be exactly American, or French to her great regret, she is the figure model in India today, and in this sense it is necessary to read what she narrates.
