This book is a product of thirty-two years of teaching experience and personal interaction with the students of B.Com. (Hons.) at Shri ram College of Commerce. Macroeconomics is a dynamic subject that helps to comprehend the intricacies involved in the functioning of an economy and its various systems.

The University of Delhi introduced the Choice Based Credit System of education in July 2015 and revised its syllabus for the B. Com (Hons.) Course. In the revised syllabus, Micro Economics has been introduced as a 100 Marks paper in the first semester (75 marks for external exam and 25 marks for internal assessment). Accordingly, the book has been specially designed and written to systematically cover the prescribed syllabus and readings of this paper. The book contains changes made by the economics course committee meeting.
