- The year is 2025. Kashmir has seceded from India and, within months, beenken over by the Taliban and allied forces. It has been transferred into a lawless region where opium is a major crop, revenues from which feed the Taliban.
- The Taliban needs to break India. They plan to take over one of the nuclear reactors at Koodankulam, in Southern India. Three men are brought together by the plan. One is Noordin, a mujahid whose childhood was spent battling Soviet forces, during the occupation of Afghanistan.
- He now works fo the Taliban-al Qaeeda alliance and will lead the attack. The second is Ganesh Cariap
- The third is an officer of the National Investigation Agency, who has come across suspicious activity and doesn't trust his own agency to do the needful. At their climatic meeting, these men discover that there are more layers to the operation and other agencies behind it.
About the Author
Born in 1959, Shashi Warrier is an alumnus of BITS Pilani. He has successfully donned many hats; journalist, consultant, computer software professional, teacher. Screenplay-writer and columnist. His earlier books include the Hangman’s Journal, The Orphan, Sniper, Night of the Krait Currently he has taken up full time writing. He lives in Mangalore, with his wife Prita, who writes and paints.
