Orient Blackswan Junior English Dictionary

This dictionary aims to serve the needs of students at the middle school level, from class 1 to class 6. It deals with words which learners are likely to encounter at that level, as indicated by school-level vocabulary syllabuses professionally prepared or officially approved, and words actually occurring in certain school textbooks widely in use at present. This is supplemented by the relevance of certain words or meanings for Indian and South Asian learners. Special care has been taken to make the book as user-friendly as possible. This has been done by focusing on and defining the most frequently used meaning of a word, as well as by employing easy to understand language and diction to indicate those meanings. Apart from including phonetic transcriptions, illustrative sentences and phrasal verbs or compound nouns, the dictionary also contains clean and clear illustrations. There are also six pages that include a variety of illustrations linked by a common theme, such as Human Anatomy.
