This completely revised edition has been divided into two parts—(a) a Physical Geography section, and (b) an India section. The first section covers the Earth in space, the world, landforms, and weather; while the section on India covers all major geographical aspects of the country—physical, political, environmental, social and economic. Many new informative and attractive maps, schematic diagrams and illustrations have been added to this revised edition. It now contains 43 child-friendly maps and over 160 illustrations, photographs and diagrams. Topical issues on the environment, wildlife, endangered species, natural calamities and power resources have been added.
