This book has been written for the students of B.Tech. courses in physics and being run in K.U. Kurukshetra, M.D.U., Rohtak and Ch. Devi Lal University, Sirsa. The language is simple and adaptable, and the size of the book is also reasonable. Each chapter covers with solved examples, wherever possible and exercises have been given for practice. Some chapters like Quantum Mechanics, Properties of Magnetic Materials etc. contain extra materials for the sake of completeness. Also, a new topic Gauss Law and Its Applications has been added in chapter-29 under the heading 'Special Topics'.
