This book consists of 10 chapters providing a comprehensive study of the subject. In the first chapter it provides the basic knowledge about automation and its needs. In the second chapter it provides a complete knowledge about PLC and its complete functions. In the 3rd chapter basis of SCADA are described. In further chapters protocol of scada, communication in scada, scada in power system, and application of scada are described. In short, all the material is arranged in a good sequence. The book covers the syllabus of M.D.U. Rohtak, D.C.R.U.S.T. Murthal, RTU Kota and other universities. Every care has been taken to eliminate misprints and errors, but if there is any error or any misprint, the authors would be grateful to the readers for bringing to notice the same.
