Mike Hogan is Britishbut has lived all his adult life abroad, mostly in Asia. He has worked in Libya, Japan, Sri Lanka, the Philippines and Thailand. In November of 2011, he started writing for a (precarious) living. He has published three books in a series of Sherlock Holmes pastiches set in 1887, the year of Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee. The books feature schoolboy Winston Churchill as the cuckoo in the nest at 221B baker Street.
