Sunbeam Beginners English Reader

This Reader is the beginning step to a child's reading ability. After learning the English Alphabet and the sound of each letter, it is essential for a child to develop phonemic awareness. Having learnt the phonemes i.e. the individual sounds or the smallest unit of sound, the child must learn to manipulate the phonemes to form word or to segregate them in a given word. This is an important building block in a child's reading and spelling ability.
