Toy Kraft Shellbound-Craft/D.I.Y Kit (Age 8+)

Besides the shells, there are 7 board cut-outs provided in the kit. The 3 smallest ones are to be used for making mosaic designs using the smaller shells. They are then arranged as a collage on a larger cut-out and serve as a good wall hanging.

The cut-out with the built-in fold-out stand support is to be used for making a mirror. First cut the mirror-paper (also provided in the pack) in a circular, oval or rectangular shape. Peel it off from the sticker paper and fix it carefully covering the centre area of the board. The residual outer area (perimeter) is to be filled with the shells. Arrange the shells first in this area to make an interesting symmetrical design. Having arrived at the right combination of shells for the mirror-frame, use the adhesive glue for fixation. The mirror provided is child-safe and is to be used by children.

The largest of the cut-outs is to be used for making a photo-frame which can house 3 inset pictures. First, plan out a design using different combinations of shells. There is more scope here as there is a larger surface area. One can experiment with floral, geometric, mosaic…etc. patterns. After finalizing the shell design, fix the shells using the PVA adhesive. When the adhesive has dried, fix this to the other board cut-out which forms the back of the photo-frame. Now select a set of photographs which form a family, cut them to fit the 3 frame areas and slide them into the respective slots.
