The Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board, Raipur conducts the Pre-Engineering Test (PET) for selecting suitable candidates to be admitted to various B.E. (Bachelor of Engineering) courses in engineering colleges declared autonomous by the State, the Govt-aided engineering colleges, self financing autonomous colleges and all private engineering colleges in the state of Chhattisgarh.
